1 I went back and looked. Nothing I've watched in the last year got a positive preview from this guy. (though truth be told, practically nothing at all got a positive preview!) Almost any time the comments weren't specifically about the staff, they ended up having only the most nodding acquaintance with the actual show, usually along the lines of "but I hate this genre so it's doomed." I would say it has negative prediction value but he also hated shows I didn't like either.

Aroduc and I just do not think about anime the same way, I guess. But somehow I feel like I'm having more fun. Then again, maybe he does too.

2 He seems to be getting more cynical as time goes on.  Just adjust your reading for his grading scale of "F" through "D+".

Still, it's my favorite season preview.  My kind of humor.  Well, one of my kinds of humor.  There's something Johnny Carsonish about the inevitable "Genre: Merchandising" joke. (stop at the Slauson cutoff...)
